I Might Have Been Mistaken Part I

The midsummer was over, and I returned my date back to the town where she lived. We were home very late in the night, and she had to leave early for work. She allowed me to sleep as long as I needed at her place, though. That morning I had a late breakfast at aContinue reading “I Might Have Been Mistaken Part I”

A Room For One, Please Part II

And so I am inside. Again it looks like somebody has started renovations. Or then it looks like leaking pipes. I would probably go for the leaking pipes after seeing this. This area looks like a storage for furniture. And apart from the mattresses and TV the furniture seems original. The rooms have names. ThisContinue reading “A Room For One, Please Part II”

No Hope Of Catching A Train

Welcome to yet another small, rural Finnish village with a railway station. There are dozens if not hundreds of them. The thing that puzzles me is the air-source heatContinue reading “No Hope Of Catching A Train”

Gone Camping Again Part I

I couldn’tContinue reading “I Would Like A Ticket Out Of Here Part II”

I Would Like A Ticket Out Of Here Part I

Haapamäki we’ve of course already been to. According to public sources the station contained a waiting room, an office roomContinue reading “I Would Like A Ticket Out Of Here Part I”

When Service Still Meant Service

Another location, which I had passed by some time earlier and only now was able to go take a closer look. This is a former Shell service station built in 1964. Fuel was sold here until the early 2000’s, and since then it has hosted an earth moving company, at least according to Google Maps.Continue reading “When Service Still Meant Service”
