I Might Have Been Mistaken Part V

Another old fashioned sofa, but this time on a turquoise plastic floor in front of a brick wall. This is something different.

Another room with newly folded laundry. And the oh so familiar hexagonal tiles.

Two washing machines. This clearly was, where the laundry of this holiday village was done.

A windowless room, where even more laundry was drying.

And a windowless storage room.

Perhaps the staircase will reveal, where I actually am.

And yes it does. The main building can be seen through the windows. That means, that this is the small, two-storey apartment building, in front of which my car is parked.

Entering another apartment.

Again a bedroom was ready for new guests.

The living room was equipped with bluish curtains. Again everything looks a bit too neat to be abandoned apart from the thrash on the floor.

A closer look at the small kitchen.

And the living room with a rug on the floor and a rug on the wall.

A closer look at the rug on the wall. I find it lovely!

This looks like an ordinary mid-1990’s home.

The holiday village was seemingly aimed at Russian customers.

Moving on to the second apartment upstairs. There were two of them.

This one was larger than the first one.

Again everything was ready to receive new customers. But again it wasn’t in use. The fridge and freezer have been shut, melted and hopefully cleaned.

The living room of the second apartment again featured some remains from Christmas.

Otherwise it was again something very 1990’s.

This apartment featured a more modern TV than the others.

The bedroom was again ready for guests.

A working desk. And a lamp.

The final view outside through the stairway window again featuring my summer car.

Now, was this place abandoned or not? I really don’t know. When I returned in 2024 to explore the row house, there was a car parked by the main building. Later that year I saw an ad, where they had renovated the apartments in the row house, and offered them out for rent. A later check from the national property register revealed, that the two apartment buildings were now a separate property from the main building and the other buildings on the lot. So either somebody bought the property and redeveloped it. Or then the original owners found new use for their property.

And in the spring of 2025 the whole property was again for sale. So, let’s see.
