And yet another familar location we have here. A former farm house last used by artists and abandoned in 2018. The city wanted to demolish, the locals wanted to protect. An all too familiar story.

Starting a walkaround to see, if there was a way in.

Well, there at least was one to the basement. As you already know, these aren’t my favorites.

But there was now also another way in. Think I can fit?

Well, it looks like I could. This has probably once been the kitchen, but it has been thoroughly messed up by now.

It was difficult moving inside. It was pitch dark.

It looks like somebody has tried to start a fire here.

Lovely turquoise walls here, which remind me of one of my childhood homes.

This here is the way to the grand porch, which was once used to enter the building. The floor wasn’t very solid, so I didn’t go any further.

The house was almost stripped down to bones. The radiators were missing.

More turquoise here.

Another room with a shut window.

And a lot of stuff thrashed on the floor.

One more room with a lot of structure visible.

And finally back in the hall. The upstairs was probably accessible through stairs near the big porch, and the floor there was in such a bad condition, I didn’t want to go there.

So, so much for that.

The house seen from the driveway.

The demolition announcement. But the house was never demolished. It burned down around a month later because of arson. So it turned out to be a close call.
