A Small Success

Back at a familiar location. This is the factory workers’ court featured earlier in photos from 2020 and 2022.

This is basically what Tour de Finland 2023 was all about. Visiting a lot of familiar places trying to see, if there were possible entries.

There were a total of three buildings. In the first picture was the first one, in the second one the second one and this is the third one.

Looking towards the second building from the third one. The buildings were always so well sealed, I wasn’t really expecting to gain entry.

The first building seen from the back. But by now I had spotted something.

There seemed to be a way in to the basement through a window. And it looks like this is the part, where the fire had been some years ago.

And that was indeed the case. I was inside. This counts as an entry, so it’s a victory already.

The kitchen. As this fire had no natural cause, it was impossible to determine, where it had started from. But this equipment shows just how primitive the apartments were considering, that they had been inhabited all the way until 2011.

It seems that the fire had been in the hall of the apartment. The mess there was so great, it was impossible to see if I could explore further that way.

So another look at the kitchen. The cups, pans and kettles were all still there.

And one final look at the first building from the outside.

I could only manage to enter one, badly burnt apartment. But nevertheless, this was an unexpected success.
