A Weekend Date Part XII

Instead of going to the back door we went up to the attic.

A football board game. I wonder, how that is played.

An interesting cage at the back.

A forgotten antique chair.

Table hockey games, a true Finnish classic. Everybody has played them as a child.

A very small cupboard.

Finally time to go down.

What would an abandoned building be without forgotten shoes.

A book gifted in 2001.

The back door was open. We wouldn’t have needed to enter through the window and my date wouldn’t have gotten a big cut to her leg.

This building has probably contained a privy, a sauna and some storage space before toilets were built inside.

Behind the house.

Another side of it.

And finally the facade.

A better view of the back side.

The dormitory building built in the late 1970’s.

That looks like a broken window ahead.

It sure was. But we were fairly tired of climbing through broken windows for that morning.

So we’ll end the exploration to these greetings.

The buildings still haven’t found new use. The owner initiated a new detail planning process in 2024. They are also trying to find out, whether the newer main building and canteen building from the 1930’s could be demolished despite their protection status.

I hope they won’t succeed. Meanwhile I still have the old canteen and dormitory left to explore.
