A Midsummer Date Part II

Another waste of Finnish architecture and building protection. Back when I was living in the area, the building was known after the nickname of a very notorius bar downstairs. It closed almost a decade ago.

The building was protected, but the congregation owning it has been appealing for almost 10 years to be allowed to demolish it despite its values.

The opening hours of the bar from late 2013.

The backyard featured doors to several apartments. People had done their best to break this one, but it had been screwed shut.

Doors to even more apartments and the basement. There’s also a door or two upstairs somewhere.

Everything was locked. The only image from the insides I could manage was this one taken through a window. The last inhabitant has left a hefty amount of canola oil behind.
