Moving on to another apartment. It seems, that the building has been in a pretty rough condition even before the fire. Or then vandals have been here.

Even this apartment has been badly damaged. The room to the left is the bathroom.

Somebody has lived a joyful life here.

The kitchen. Or what remains of it.

Behind the final door were stairs to the attic. They looked solid, so I chose to go take a closer look.

The sunset seen through what used to be a roof. It’s been such a while from the fire, that new life is growing from the ashes.

The attic was so badly burned, that I only stayed on the top of the stairs before going back.

The attic seen to the other direction.

I did take a look at the other buildings on the lot, but they seemed much less interesting.

They were also not very well accessible.

Next let’s have a look at the former café.

At least it seems, that the fire hasn’t started from here.

I can’t imagine the amount of water damage this part of the building has suffered.

A random mess on the floor.

What used to be the windows of the café with its name on them.
Numerous requests by the town to demolish the ruin and clean up the property went unanswered by the owner. The town finally purchased the lot early in 2024. The building was demolished the following summer.
