Another ordinary rural cottage rotting away in the woods on the outskirts of a large village.

The door was closed with plywood, but the window next to it was just large enough for me to squeeze myself in.
Do you notice the can of pickled cucumbers, by the way? That’s one of the most common items I’ve run into in abandoned houses.

Entry was straight to the kitchen. My family had chairs like that when I was little. I loved to poke a fork through the holes eventually destroying them.

I don’t think that this house has ever seen any renovations.

Chocolate? Doesn’t look like that anymore.

Calendars from 2007. My guess is, that that was when the place was abandoned.

Magazines from 1938. It is very rare to find something this old in an abandoned house.

The map of Finland, an even older calendar and a diploma. The diploma has been given for taking a ram on display to an agricultural exhibition in Hämeenlinna in 2002.
The funny thing is, I was also in that exhibition. My mother’s workplace was an exhibitor and the 13-year-old me was helping there run the display. Maybe I even met the owner of this house, who knows.

The membership card of a local farmers’ association dating back to 2006.

The oven had been fixed with duct tape. It didn’t look very safe.

Poor Teddy.

Looks like a home gym.

And this looks like a home office.

Lots and lots of notebooks and files, a phone box and an instruction book on plants.

The house was warmed up with very traditional ovens.
