The Shepherd’s Cottage Part II

The living room. The old wedding picture’s style is similar to the one of my great grandparents. I believe, that it is from the early 20th century.

I’ve never seen such shoes in real life. Only in old photos, drawings and museums.

The living room contained two bookshelves. The majority of the space was taken by files.

A catalogue featuring all the Finns, who died in the Winter War.

Now let’s have a closer look at the file cabinet.

All these files are yearly accountings of a farm. And probably the farm ran by the person who took the sheep to the agricultural exhibition. It runs all the way until the 1990’s.

A colletion of shot glasses. I’m glad they are still intact. But what are those pictures with Hannu Karpo, a Finnish tv-reporter about?

The other bookshelf contained ordinary books. I don’t know too many of them.

Drawings made by someone from class 8A. There probably was at least one child raised in the house.

The poor old fridge sitting in the hall.

Downstairs explored. Let’s go upstairs then.

Looks like just about everything has been left behind.

Not one lovely old radio, but two of them!

A 9th grade English test from 1981. Kids turn 16 during the year they graduate from the 9th grade, so this means, that there indeed was at least one child, who grew here, and they were born either in 1965 or 1966.

And the child even had a little lamb. How fitting!
