October was advancing fast. I returned back to a location, which I had tried to visit for the first time the previous spring. A one family house, which was due to be demolished to make way for more efficient housing.

Things here looked pretty much the same as they did in the spring.

I really wasn’t hopeful, but you can never win, if you never play.

This window was open open already during my visit the previous spring. But I couldn’t climb through it back then.

The view from that window. This was how far I got the previous time.

But this time there was also enough debris in front of the window for me to climb in.

The building was very badly vandalized. The fireplace had been completely demolished.

The building was located in a park area without a real driveway connection. It had been there since at least the early 1930’s.

The strange thing was, that the electricity was still on here.

Let’s move on up.

A small corner cupboard.

I wonder, if the sparkling wine has been drunk by the inhabitants or unauthorized visitors.

The balcony looks like I don’t fancy going there.

A lot of paper on the floor here.

The layout of the room upstairs was almost identical to the one downstairs. Even the oven here had been demolished.

Why would anyone in their right mind do this?

The second room upstairs. It looks like there have been two apartments in the house.

A view from the upstairs window.

Definitely originally two apartments.

A book with a list of professors in Finland.

A beautiful hand made wall rug.

Back downstairs.

And back outside.
As of May 2026, the building still seemed to stand.
