A Rotten Beauty Part I

During the winter when I was looking for new locations, I found a mention about a large old apartment building and a furniture factory in a small municipality. I just wrote the address down, didn’t even have a look at Google Maps. What awaited me there was a major surprise.

An amazing beauty.

I mean just look at the details of the roof.

The driveway to the yard wasn’t totally overgrown, although the house was definitely abandoned.

The porch is about to collapse.

It’s all open doors. So let’s go!

The hall. It looks like some renovations had been done in the 1960’s or 1970’s, when awful boards like that were commonly used.

A calendar. Let’s see, if it gives any hints about when the building has been abandoned.

November 2003. So the place has been empty for 20 years?

Judging by the state of the ceiling, it is very possible.

The kitchen was from the 1970’s or 80’s.

The windows were huge. And in a pretty bad shape.

I tried something here but failed.

This looks like a former bedroom.

Another point of view in the kitchen.

The toilet was well smashed.

That concludes the first apartment. But it was only the first apartment.
