Moving on to the lower rooms in the building. Despite being abandoned for a long time, there was a surprisingly small amount of graffiti.

More machinery moving on rails.

Well, this German company has developed brick handling machines for decades.

That looks complicated!

I wonder, for how long this thing has been collecting dust.

Now I’m somewhere deep inside the original body of the factory.

That looks like pollution. And smells like one.

It seems that the bricks have been burned using oil. I can’t imagine how much you have needed to heat the kiln up to 1200 degrees Celcius.

Downstairs in the old factory were thick concrete walls. And of course more bricks.

The corridors really seemed neverending. Although this is my first of its kind, I know what that on the right is.

One section of the building had completely collapsed. It was quite dark inside, so seeing so much sunlight was surprising.

The entrance is blocked. But that is definitely the brick kiln.

This one seems easier.

And so I am inside the kiln. Quite a place.

Like I said, it was a neverending corridor. But the doors up front are the end.

This wing was also a later addition to the original building. The contents were surprising. That Renault to the left isn’t that old, maybe from the late 1990’s or early 2000’s. That’s not old for a car in Finland. They are usually driven until around 20 years old, so the place could have seen action during the past few years.

The rest of the cars could have been valuable. This cabriolet Wartburg seems a bit custom made, though.

The chimney was originally outside the building. This wing has been built around it.

And this one looks like an oil heater, too. Strange.

Anyway, that was as far as I got. The ground floor was explored, the stairs higher up had collapsed, and just like the last time I was feeling somewhat uneasy. I already stated the previous time, that this place had a strange aura. I stand by what I said.
But all in all this was a massive success, one of the few so far that summer. Actually only the second one after the town hall despite the grant and so many high hopes.
