Now I did promise you something very special. Here it is. Condoms, which have expired in 1997. They are on top of a destroyed TV set and some letters to the apparently last inhabitant of the apartment.

Old chairs and a broken guitar. My mother always did tell me, that playing guitar will get me girls. Apparently this has worked out for the inhabitant of this apartment, but not being able to play guitar has always worked out for me. Back when these photos were taken, my body count was up to 98. And I’m not kidding.

A better look at the destroyed TV. I’ve always wanted one wooden set like that. I’d probably rebuild it into a wine cupboard.

The kitchen of this apartment was fairly small. Again it reminds me of the kitchen in my former apartment. The size and setup were almost identical.

These are retirement payment papers. The inhabitant was nowhere near retirement age, but every year every person in Finland is sent an update of how much pension they will receive in the future.

Old magazines and newspapers here.

Another newspaper from 1998. I still believe, that the entire place was abandoned around then.

The headlines is about Nylon Beat, a band popular in the 1990’s.

One more look at the mess in this corner.

There really were lots of clothes left behind.

Moving up to the attic.

A chair in the stairway.

And a can on the the top of it.

The attic.

And now I’m going back downstairs. This is the back room of the post office.

The building seen from the back. But there’s still another wing to explore.
Which of course means another post.
