A Midsummer Date Part VIII

The interesting thing mentioned in the previous post was the old apartment building for the hospital nurses. It was called The Maiden Castle.

There were some garages downstairs. The only way in was through there.

The main entrance is right behind us.

Entering the first apartment.

The first apartments were for higher ranking staff. This one for instance had a balcony.

This room was in a very bad condition.

But it turns out that this house was later used as something completely different than apartments. This here is a receipt for covering travel expences by the patient association of the hospital. It dates to 1983.

Lots of more receipts from the 1980’s.

Dark rooms.

Cupboards.

Just another failed attempt at being artsy.

One of the dark rooms was a kitchen.

That’s probably where the bedroom is. The bathroom is to the right.

The bedroom was as empty as most of the rest of the apartment.

Back in the stairway, but it’s not time to go up yet. Because to the right of this picture is a corridor. And that’s why I believe, that the first apartment was inhabited by a higher ranking staff member.

You can soon see, why.
