Led By An Unusual Guide Part II

At the end of the previous post I said, that this end of the building looks like an apartment. If the previous room was the kitchen, here we have the living room – of someone, who has enjoyed a drink at least every now and then.

Oh, they’ve been to the big city!

There’s another pennant of another town, this time that of Ähtäri in Southern Osthrobotnia. It is famous for its zoo.

There have been newspapers below the wallpapers. A very standard way of building all the way to at least the 1950’s.

Back to the kitchen.

There’s only one way to go: up.

A very old sewing machine company box.

A very old box of margarine. The company existed until 1940. For some reason it was called flight margarine.

Quite a contrast in this picture.

As there was another stove, there has probably been a second apartment upstairs.

A box with old bottles.

And more bottles. The label and cap suggest, that the vodka bottle is from the late 1960’s or 1970’s.

More old boxes. That one has apparently contained envelopes.

The attic of the building. There has probably never been much useful here, although it looks like several stairs have led here at some point.

This is one of the boxes seen earlier. It contained a sewing machine.

That’s one hell of a big wrist watch.

There was even an old typewriter. I’ve mentioned several times, that I love them, and have three of them. Back then there were actually only two. I bought one more at a flea market around a month later.

The back of the old building. There previously was a wooden wing starting from the left corner of the picture, but it has vanished at some point.

This building has now been covered, but the iron lady had more in store.
