Grand Expectations, Harsh Reality

On the second evening of my trip I arrived in a town, where a friend of mine was doing her summer internship. We agreed to meet and go exploring together.

We started by buying sushi from a local supermarket and eating it in the harbour in a rather nice evening sun. After that we started searching for the hospital I had found on my previous visit to the town in 2020.

Back then the doors were open, but there were just too many people around. I was hoping to find more open doors.

It turned out, that there were no doors. The hospital had been demolished the previous winter.

This happens from time to time. But it again serves as a great reminder: enter those buildings when you get the chance. It may be your last.
