Waiting For Brighter Days

Welcome to yet another former mental asylum area. This one was built in 1914 and closed in 1999. Since then most of the buildings in the area have been converted into apartments. The area is so lovely, that I’ve considered moving there, if I ever get bored of living in the city.

In the middle of the beautifully renovated apartments stood this beauty. If I’ve done my research correctly, it was used to treat people, who needed treatment daily, but didn’t need to stay in the hospital.

If you look closely, one balcony door seems to be open. The balcony was inaccessible, so I went to see, if there was an entrance in the back.

There were several open windows, but they were too high for me.

Even the other side was locked and out of bounds, so I went home. But a big adventure was waiting for me already the following day.
