I know you are already tired of my date stories, but amazingly enough I was once again on a date with a new girl. We had already met once, but I told her about my attempt to visit all current and former municipalities of Finland during one summer, and she was interested in the adventure. So she joined me for one evening. And that was when we by complete accident found this location.

An ordinary one family house in the crossing of two larger roads. The door is invitingly open, so let’s go have a closer look.

Computer equipment in the hall? Ok, but doesn’t something seem a bit strange here.

It does indeed. The hall is completely tilted, as the building has started to collapse. I’m glad we are here to explore now.

Well, a lot more than just the hall are a bit tilted. But nevertheless, the place was still exploreable.

And welcome to the kitchen. The collapsed wall to the hall is to the left. The damage is actually pretty bad.

A manual to software made by a company, which operated between 1980 and 1996. This was a time, when personal computers really still weren’t a thing, so we are in the home of an advanced tech user.

Photography magazines from the 1980’s. This really is an unusual discovery.

First views from the living room.

Beautiful old furniture and dim lightning.

Two layers of pretty similar wallpaper. Interesting.

A reindeer skin and old papers with ad prices still in old Finnish marks. They are older than 2002 in that case.

It was evident all around, that the house was falling apart. The ceiling tiles are on the floor.

More junk and an old heating stove.

An electronic typewriter. A fairly rare discovery in a rural Finnish home.

Another one. The person living here has really been a tech enthusiast. Or a professional, who has worked from home. That’s even more advanced, when you take the timing into account.

And the typewriting has been present even before the era of electronic typewriters.
To be continued.
