Not Used What It Was Meant For Part XIV

And there it is. The entrance to the final wing of the building.

That chair has gone through a lot.

Cute kitchen tiles.

Either this wing has been the caretaker’s apartment or just a technical space of the factory. But it has definitely had a special purpose back in the days.

Whatever the reason has been, those probably are the original radiators of the building. They’ve been there during all this time.

A view from the window to the courtyard. And to the basement, which actually seems to extend well outside the building below the terrace.

More views from the rooms in this wing.

And of the original radiators.

But this arrangement would rather indicate, that this indeed was the caretaker’s apartment.

Stairs leading nowhere turned into a cupboard. Which probably means, that there was access from here to the attic I visited earlier.

The bathroom with a classic tub I would be envious of.

There are two kinds of windows. The ones standard everywhere and the ones standard to this building.

The room. With a little wheel in the freezer.

The final picture.

The building still stands abandoned. According to Google Maps, its ground floor doors and windows have since been covered with plywood to prevent access. I’m glad I visited. This one was a big catch.

I went my ways, parked in a national park at midnight and left for a 15 kilometer hike. At 4 am I found myself between a female bear and her cub. My luck was, that I didn’t realize, where I was, and walked away unharmed.
