Exploring With A Childhood Friend Part VI

Another view of the kitchen. The large wood stove was the only stove there was. It seems that no electric stove was ever used here.

All kinds of dirt and stuff has flown inside through the broken window.

The small door by the window leads to the food cupboard.

The grocery store bag looks surprisingly modern for this house.

A very primitive sink was the only source of running water inside the house. I have only seen one similar construction, in the previous place I visited. Seems like the speciality of a local plumber.

The logs are ready to be used to light a fire in the stove. Wonder, how long they have stood there.

So much for the downstairs. Let’s go have a look up.

As I expected. A cold attic with a random mess of things everywhere.

The mess extends through the house. I wasn’t quite sure about the integrity of the floor, so I just took some shots from the top of the stairs.

An interesting, large, wooden box.

And once again a pairless shoe.

This was a funny thing to find. One of the photographers of the article is a freelance journalist that I’ve worked with. I’ve never met him, but I’ve edited his articles no more than five years ago. And this is a very old magazine.

I’m still looking to find myself in an abandoned building.

More pairless shoes.

The attic was quickly explored. And so I’m moving on to more external shots. Here’s the animal shelter again.

And the granary.

I really liked the atmosphere in this room, so I took some more photos through the window.

A horizontal view from the same spot.

And finally the yard. The animal shelter is to the left, the farm house straight ahead and the granary to the right.
