Like I said in the previous post, we’ll take a closer look at the books in this post. Well, this is a closer look. It doesn’t make anybody any wiser, though.
Rowing the river Oulu, says the book. That’s a very familiar river to me. The author even has a street named after him in my former home town.
An old cupboard in the corner of the room. It has been full of clothes when the place was abandoned.
An old oven. There seems to have been one in every room downstairs.
A funny detail. And I don’t mean the drawing on the door. This door has led directly to the room, which is nowadays a toilet, but is now blocked. This means, that the toilet is indeed a later addition, and has probably originally been a part of the hall.
An empty bag of wheat flour and a spoon-fork. It is an item, which everybody who has gone to the army knows. Also popular among campers.
The kitchen floor and a cap of a beer bottle. Another hint, that the house has been abandoned for a long time. Traditional Finnish brown beer bottles started vanishing around 10 years ago.
Although the ceiling downstairs looked a bit bad, I will head upstairs anyway.
There I was greeted with a tag saying welcome and a complete mess.

Old game boxes. I can remember buying Electronic Arts games in big, light blue boxes like that way back in the late 1990’s. The original box of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six published in 1998 also hints, that these are from the late 90’s.
I also found porn magazines and old school photos of a kid dating to the early 1990’s. There probably has been someone growing up here during the most epic decade of all time.
Ps. I know, that my feet are dirty. Living in a car for weeks and adventuring in all kinds of abandoned places causes that. Luckily I’m just an hour away from a shower.
The person in question is not too much my senior. I really would like to know, what happened here.
There were large ovens even in the rooms upstairs.
I can remember this type of game boxes and the old EA logo. My most precious treasure, Need For Speed II came in one of these in the late 1990’s.
Basically the upstairs was just one hell of a mess. An old phone has found its way here.
Uno was one of my favorite childhood games. This house really gives off nostalgic vibes.
But unfortunately the time has come to end the exploration. That’s all, folks!
The 1990’s was the absolute BEST time to grow up! 🙂
