What A Beautiful Morning Part VI

So it was now 7.20 am and the world was still sleeping. After a breakfast at a petrol station I and my friend arrived to the third location of the day.

Behind the bushes is an old farm house from the 1930’s or 1940’s. It’s pretty unremarkable, but the village it is located in is named after this farm.

While I was eagerly looking for a way in, my friend found some snails and started playing with them. I think she lost her interest towards the abandoned.

A forest was quickly surrounding the old house, but there was a path in. Somebody had done some gardening.

There was all kinds of thrash and tools lying around the yard.

All open doors.

What remains of an old office chair.

The annual report of a bus company from 1986. It’s in a surprisingly good shape.

Entrance is directly to the joint kitchen and living room, a very common feature in old Finnish homes.

Newspapers announcing the candidacy of Harri Holkeri in the presidential elections. Holkeri ran for the first time in 1982, so the papers were almost 40 years old.

More papers from the 1980’s.

The kitchen with the old wood powered stove. Things have really been traditional here until the very end.

The house doesn’t have windows anymore. So leaves and other kinds of thrash can come and go freely.

The ad of a women’s magazine advertising that the male of the year has been chosen.

Another view of the kitchen. The entrance is to the left.

A fairly interesting cupboard.

The house seems to have had a toilet but no bathroom.

Probably the old toilet cupboard door. Somebody’s been drinking Jägermeister here.

At this point my friend screamed out loud. The snails had started mating on her hand.

To be continued.
