What A Beautiful Morning Part VII

The house did have an electric stove too. It wasn’t the largest or most modern model.

The wallpaper was very old. I kind of like it, though I wouldnt put that on my own walls.

I have no idea what that is.

The different colors and wallpapers were really not a good match.

It’s somewhat strange to see graffiti like this in somebody’s former home.

30 year old crosswords.

The hall with beautiful wooden panels.

There was a hatch to the attic but no stairs. I doubt, that there would have been anything interesting there. It was just a cold attic.

A catalog of agricultural machines.

A magazine about buses from 1987.

A magazine in Swedish from september 1989. I wa six months old, when this was published.

The houseowner’s old boots. Once again.

The sauna. The large bin is a water tank, where washing water was warmed up. That was the way people washed themselves here until the very end.

One final photo from the outside. I don’t know when this place has been abandoned, but I suspect early 1990’s. Old aerial photos reveal, though, that the forest has grown around the house since 2005, so somebody has been taking care of it until then.

So it’s only 7.30 am. I think we can manage one more location this morning.

  1. There are two things that come to mind. First, that tiny oven reminds me of when my co-worker and I thought it might be fun to bring an Easy Bake Oven to our job at the fire department and bake cookies. The fire chief had absolutely no sense of humor about it, and when we were out on a run, the toy oven ended up getting cut into pieces and thrown into a trash dumpster.

As for 1989, I was 10 years old. So I realize that I am around 10 years older than you. For the record, I certainly do not look or feel like I’m almost 45. 😉

Keep up the good work, and please keep in touch. 🙂

    1. Oh dear. Bosses with no sense of humor are not a nice thing.

Your realization is correct. I turn 35 in around a month. I don’t feel a day older than 25, though.

      Thank you! 🙂
