Back again at the end of a nearly roadless road. I am here, because my friend sent me a tip about a former working colony of a a former mental asylum.
The concept is a bit difficult to explain, but back in the days it was believed, that being useful and working was the key to mental health recovery. So mental asylums had farms, where the patients worked. Basically this colony was a farm.
I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but I was given a tip and I was in the area so why not check it out.

I was actually amazed, that there still was something here. I have never seen such a twisted building before, so I expect, that it will not be here for long.

I wasn’t interested enough to see what was inside to go through that jungle to a collapsing storage building.

Just look at the curves, really.

As these photos are from 2022, I highly doubt that this building is still standing after three winters.

A more modern building.

Locked.

The road to the area formed a loop.

Another locked building. I wonder, if these have been used by the colony or built later.
The main building of the colony was demolished in the early 2000’s. It had been abandoned for a long time before that.

Even the neighbouring house llooked abandoned, but I didn’t go closer. The feng shui in the area wasn’t very good and I was happy to just leave.
