Cigarettes For Minors

Another symbol of the dying Finnish countryside: a former grocery store located in the middle of nowhere.

It was in a desperate need of paint, but there’s nobody painting it anymore.

And nobody has cut the grass in years.

There were several doors at the back.

The shed at the back of the yard had collapsed a long time ago.

There had originally been more windows, but some of them had been blocked.

The doors were locked and the porches had collapsed.

The dark windows were reflecting tree branches.

The front of the store revealed, that the building was for sale. I can only imagine the queue of interested buyers.

The old logo of the national betting company. The logo is so old, I don’t even know, when it was used.

This logo is more familiar from my childhood. The sign before it says, that tobacco is not sold to people under 16 years of age. The limit changed to 18 back in 1995, so the store must have been closed before that.

I wonder, what that mess on the window is. But I found no answers. And no entry.
