Welcome to the yard of another school.
The red brick building is from the 1960’s, when this was a thriving village. But things have changed. People are moving away, there are no kids and the buildings need renovations. The school was closed in 2021.
The older school is from the 1940’s or 1950’s. It was closed earlier.
As you already know, I love the architecture of the old school. The new school doesn’t look too bad either, when you consider that it is from the 1960’s.
I found the old school more interesting. And it seems, that the vandals have had the same opinion.
Let’s try to find a way around the back.
This was the most promising one. Unfortunately I couldn’t reach the balcony.
It’s almost time to give up.

It looks like the school library hasn’t moved away from the place.

The photos are from June 2022. The heating and air conditioning in this building are still on, as the town is trying to find some use for it. The older school is on the list of building to be demolished, which again makes me incredibly sad. I’ve stated several times that I love the architecture of old schools, and they should be treated much better.
