The text on the wall says community collage, so that’s probably what this is.

The building is from the late 1940’s or early 1950’s and has several details very usual to that era.

The garage door at the back is an interesting feature.

The building has indeed been a community college from the 1960’s all the way until 2013, when the community college moved away. It has been empty since then.
The city wanted to demolish it, but the local museum intervened. The latest detail plan calls for protection status. It hasn’t been approved yet, though, for some reason.
Originally the house was completed in 1953. It first served as the municipal doctor’s residence and reception.
After this my two week tour around Finland was over. Yes, I’ve been publishing posts about this two week tour for two and a half months. I traveled to Tampere to perform at a folk dance event and returned home to the Capital region.
I still had one full week of work left before my five week summer holidays would begin. And I would spend those five weeks touring even more trying to meet my goal of visiting every single current and former municipality in Finland in one summer.
