Once again old rural roads revealed something interesting. These two buildings were clearly related somehow, looked old and valuable, but were in a very bad shape.

Although in a very bad shape, the area is still in some use. Behind the buildings is a municipal storage area. There’s also a waste recycling point here.

I tried to check old maps from the 1970’s to find out what these buildings had been originally. They revealed nothing.

This building looks slightly newer than the other one. I still couldn’t figure out what they once had been.
That was until I found older maps. The buildings had been a village school, which had been closed already before the 1970’s. They are listed as regionally important, yet they are the place, where locals dump their waste to be recycled. This is a waste of architecture, really.
