Gone Camping Again Part II

The sauna building can be seen in the background, but I’m roaming deeper to the area. In addition to the restaurant, even the reception buiding has been demolished.

But this was again something I missed the previous time.

This looks like a collection of plastic straws.

There was also a hefty collection of kitchen equipment.

And Russian video cassettes. Now we’re again getting to the odd end of it.

Accounting from 2004.

I hope they got a real cash register and maybe even a computer later on.

The collection of Russian cassettes has been pretty impressive. Either they have been hired to the customers of the camping ground, or the stereotype of hotel staff watching videos and not hearing anything while a killing occurs, is real.

The TV is a hint about the latter scenario.

It must have been a boring place to work at.

The cottage was an odd mixture of office and storage.

And it seems, that everything from toilets to TV:s was stored here.

This has probably been a toilet.

An old map of a city not too far away.

At the back was a shelf with a lot of files.

This was probably, where management was located. A rather comfortable office chair, wooden floor and even an own balcony.

There were clear plastic bags everywhere. They contained passenger cards of the customers. The law in Finland requires everybody to fill out one, when staying at a hotel or campground. After a given amount of time they must be deleted.

Most of the customers here were Russian or German.

The files probably contained a lot more accounting.

But some of the customers were Finns, and this causes a serious problem. Full personal information along with addresses and social security numbers were present. In wrong hands these create a real risk of identity theft. That’s why I’ve erased most of the info.

I don’t think this is compatible with GDPR.

We didn’t find any other buildings in the area. I probably won’t be returning here any time soon.
