Many of the publications seen in the previous photo were Donald Duck Pocket Books. Most of them were from earlier than the late 1990’s when I started collecting them, but this one is familiar. I’ve read it numerous times.

The dog guards a box of loose screws?

Moving back to the stairway again, where a corridor connects the lobby to the other part of the upstairs.

There was even a small bathroom. I didn’t spot anything like this downstairs.

A room with a bed and a bookshelf.

A series of encyclopedias an book catalogues. The educated image I get of the last inhabitants still lives strong.

Loads of photo slides and yellow boxes. The latter are similar to those we had in my childhood home ever since the early 1990’s.

There were files and even old posters and a painting on the bed.

I have no idea what this is.

The electricity has been turned off. This will be imporant information later on.

In the mess on the floor was a calendar from 2016. I hardly think it is possible, that it has actually been in use in this building because of all the other details.

And so I am back downstairs. In the hall was a pair of very old and well preserved rubber boots.

An interesting cock on the window shelf of the porch.

The large, lovely light porch.

And a final look from what I believe is the original main entrance of the building.
Like I said in the first post, I always hoped, that somebody would rescue this old beauty. Sadly it wasn’t the case. A detail plan, which came into force in 2016 allowed it to be demolished and replaced with a retail building.
In late 2024 the house burned down. As there was no electricity, it’s not very hard to determine the cause of the fire.
