Walking on the streets of Lahti after exploring the chapel drinking the cold beer I just received, I spotted this. I was pretty unsure what it was, but it seemed like it was abandoned.

The sign says Jousi-paita. This is a shirt factory, the last male shirt factory in Finland. It went bankrupt in 2013. The building has probably sat empty ever since.

The courtyard. There’s the older building to the right, probably from the 1940’s or the 1950’s judging by the architecture. And the newer part up front, which is from the 1960’s or 1970’s.

Unfortunately there was no way in. And there never will be. The buildings were demolished in 2022 to make way for another new block of flats.
