Not Sure If, So No Go

After the tiny white cottage, we found another potential location with my friend.

This house looked like it was abandoned. The yard was growing weed and there was no bin by the driveway. That’s why we decided, that it was safe to approach.

Unfortunately the door was locked. And the place looked like it was in a very good condition. There was no way in.

And that was also the reason why I decided not to take any more photographs. But this orangish house deserves its own post anyway.

Nothing more to see here, though. A story all too familiar to every urbexer.

  1. There was one time that my friend and I found what we thought was an abandoned house in the middle of nowhere in the Adirondack mountains. We approached the house, saw that the windows were all broken and the door was open, but as soon as we walked in, it became apparent that someone still lived there. Apparently they didn’t have visitors very frequently, and invited us in. My friend and I declined and left.

    1. Whoa! How could someone live in conditions like that? Are you sure it wasn’t someone, who had just found the abandoned house and taken it over?

      1. I have no idea if they were a squatter or someone who was simply backpacking through, though my friend and I weren’t willing to stick around and find out. However, it is common for people to spend the night in abandoned buildings here in the USA if they’re backpacking or hitchhiking.
