Not Used What It Was Meant For Part II

This is not what I would have expected. The beautiful, cathedral like space contained a tennis court.

And below the green carpet was what I believe is the original wooden floor. I wonder, what the purpose of this space has been during the paint factory years.

Well, tennis is an international sport. I wonder where they are on their way.

The windows were partly blocked, so there was quite a little light coming in.

A view in the cathedral to the other direction. The building actually continues behind my back, but I couldn’t find a way to that section of it.

Moving back to the lobby. There would have been a way into the basement, but first of all it was blocked, and secondly, I still don’t do basements.

Another open door on the front side. There’s a regional road running past the building.

The ground floor corridor looked fairly dark.

So I decided to have a look at the stairway first. The door is the same one as seen through a window in an earlier shot.

The door seen below the stairs is probably another way to the basement, which is still a no go for me. Now that I’ve found a way up, I can explore the ground floor.

The lobby is on the other side of that round wall.

Not the most modern of light switches.

This does look like an apartment.

A cassette by Ari Klem. I literally had no idea who that guy was, so I had to Google. Turns out he was a tango artist, whose greatest years took place around my birth.

A toilet. Again the materials are surprisingly modern, perhaps from the 1990’s.

And a kitchen. It turned out, that the building had been converted into apartments after factory use ended. I came to explore a factory, I would end up exploring a large block of flats.

But it was still a big catch, I promise!
