What Was I Thinking The Last Time? Part II

I base my reasoning about the three apartments to the fact, that this section has had a separate entrance.

But I may also be wrong. Whatever is the case, the layout of the ground floor has been changed several times.

Anyhow, the apartments have been lovely with lots of light coming in through the large windows.

The door in the first picture of this post leads to the same hall, where the door of this apartment. I now rest my case. There have been three apartments downstairs.

It looks like they have also shared a toilet.

There were stairs in both ends of the house. This again leads me to believe, that there also is more than one apartment upstairs.

Even the basement was accessible from both ends – except that it wasn’t at all. The stairs on the other side were missing, here they were stuffed so full of thrash that access was denied.

Up we go, then.

And it indeed seemed that there had been several apartments upstairs, too.

From now on I don’t know, which apartment is which anymore.

So I’ll just post random photos of them.

There was absolutely no furniture left in any of the rooms apart from the basement.

Although clearly abandoned for a long time. the roof still seemed pretty much intact.

Even one original oven was remaining.

The side windows were different…

…from those in the ends of the building.

One more post to go from here!

  1. I once explored an old house like this in Maine. The upstairs bedrooms were turned into apartments, yet the downstairs had a shared bathroom, living room, and kitchen. There were homeless people upstairs that had setup camping gear on the floor along with a clear plastic box filled with illegal drugs. They had also decorated all of the walls with all sorts of demonic murals that were created using markers and spray paint. It was beyond bizarre and I got out of there as soon as possible.

    1. You about described my nightmare. I did post a story here about entering an old kindergarten, where someone was clearly living, but I’d never want to encounter homeless drug users in an abandoned house.

Although in Finland they might even be harmless, who knows.
