Another familiar view. Now I’m, of course talking about an elementary school, which I also encountered the previous summer. I couldn’t find a way in, I only took a few external shots. But now I was back.

Externally the school looked like it was in a good shape. It had been abandoned because of air quality problems some two years ago.

As was the case with the mental asylum, no damage had been done to this building, either.

And there we have the name of the school. As I haven’t bothered to censor it, you probably know, what has happened.

A surprising amount of stuff still is inside.

There was even this small cottage on the yard. My guess is that it housed outdoors sports equipment.

This wing of the school most likely contained the gym.

The temporary barracks, where the pupils studied. These were removed from the lot in March 2023.

A back entrance.

The old school was where it used to be. In the autumn of 2022 two local entrepreneurs bought it. Their aim is to rescue and renovate it for an unknown future use.

Meanwhile the fate of the newer school building was sealed. It was demolished in the summer of 2022.

Although all information about the newer school says that it was constructed in 1964, I strongly believe, that the part to the right is a later addition.

I am extremely happy that the locals decided to buy the old school and rescue it. It’s a beautiful building.

The same can’t be said about the newer part.

It was really just an ordinary 1960’s school.

Another back door leading to the kitchen.

And finally my final photo from this location ever. Another building is written off my list of potential locations without me ever managing to enter it
