Walking on the main street of the poor thing revealed almost as many empty business buildings as functioning ones. Most of them were intact and couldn’t be accessed, but then there was this one, which I decided to go have a closer look at.
The signs say the same as the paintings on the boarded windows. They claim this to be a shoe and flower shop. I was a bit sceptical. Those things usually aren’t sold in one place unless it’s a hypermarket.
I was only able to get good photos of the place from the front. There was a forest at the back.
The building had been extetended with a residential wing in the late 1960’s or 1970’s. Its windows were intact, and I wasn’t really 100 % sure, if it was still in use. The shop itself, however wasn’t. I could tell it by the paintings on the windows.
And by this sight. House number 99 is soon about to be unlocked.
The first view didn’t lie. It really had been a shoe store. Racks with hooks for shoe pairs were all around the place.
Getting inside revealed, that the big windows were completely broken apart from the door where one glass was still intact.
Unused vintage shoes. What a find.
The funny thing is, that this really was a flower and shoe shop. I have never ever seen such a combination before and probably won’t in the near future.
Price tags and receipt paper all over the floor.
The back contained more shoe racks.
This confirms the mystery. Shoes and flowers it is.

There was a fireplace in the shop. Another thing I’ve never seen before, but obviously quite logical for a building built before the 1960’s and in a pretty original condition.
What a waste. Good, unsold shoes just sitting there since forever.
Even the flower pots are still here.
