Get Your Stuff But Don’t Forget To Explore Part II

A picture a bit deeper in the room seen earlier. Here there are a large amount of metallic grills. Looks a bit like shelves to me.

A lonely little doll and old newspapers.

Another doll.

Sparkling wine and a mutilated baby doll. The bottle has probably been left here by later visitors.

The must of every single Finnish home. The sauna.

A self made pony magazine from 1982. This is quite extraordinary.

A beautiful handmade fireplace. I would date it to between the 1930’s and 1950’s.

Stairs with a striking yellow wallpaper. They look solid, so let’s go have a look.

Everything is still yellow, my favorite colour by the way.

More colors and also more counters.

In fact a whole room filled with them.

The lock of a bedroom door and some bottle fragments. I am now making guesses, but could it be that some youngsters attending events at the burned down venue nearby could have broken in for a pre- or afterparty?

That is a real vintage curtain.

I didn’t explore the upstairs very thoroughly. There was a lot of heavy stuff there, and because of the darkness it was pretty hard to identify possible weak spots on the floor.

That looks like a former rose.

The oldest aerial photos from the area are from 1954. The two houses and the shed are all present in all of them.

So let’s have a closer look at the shed now.

It was clearly used to just storing random things.

Like old furniture and gardening stuff.

I just love that chair!

Basically the interior of the shed was close to that of the house. Full of furniture rarely seen in a home.

The shed either collapsed or was demolished in 2022 or 2023, as it has vanished from maps and a pile of rubble now occupies the site.

In the final post it’s time for the third building on the lot.
