Concrete Dreams Part III

Like I said, the building pictured earlier wasn’t the entire hotel, it was just the old main building. There was also an accommodation building, a sauna and staff apartments. The apartments have been renovated and are now private apartments, the sauna and accommodation building are still abandoned.

When the main building was sold to the company, who wanted to make it a nursing home, the sauna and accommodation building were not included in the deal. They’re still owned by the previous owner.

And there we have the sauna.

The view from the sauna towards the main building.

And from another angle.

Like I said, the hotel was very difficult to photograph in one shot. The sun wasn’t making it easier.

So this building contained a sauna and a lounge according to the sign. There’s also a pool there. But there was no way in, so I turned my attention back towards the main building.

But hold on. What’s that to the left?

The main building is to the right, but to the left on the other side of the stairs there’s indeed another building. That is the former accommodation building.

Trying to go get a closer look.

The architecture is instantly recognizable. This is very much the sister of the main building.

You really expect me to see such small signs?

The accommodation building was empty and had suffered extensive vandalism, too.

It was also built on a hillside so, that one side of the building had one and the other one two floors.

The front side featuring a side entrance. The building was the shape of a lighting bolt.

Even this building featured a narrow balcony running on the side of the building.

The neihbors seemed to use the parking lot of the hotel.

That thing inside looks like a washing machine.

There was a staircase right next to the side entrance. Or more likely the side exit, as the door doesn’t have a handle.

The other wing of the bolt shaped building.

More household appliances inside. It looks to me like this building has served as some sort of an aparthotel in its last active years.

The main entrance to the accommodation building. The metal doors don’t look too tempting.
