A Private Assignment Part IV

Heading home after the weekend, I decided to go have a look at a location, which I found way back in 2020, but didn’t manage to photograph anything publisheable. This here is a former waterworks built in the 1950’s. It has been closed and partially demolished in the early 2010’s.

Through the windows you could see some random stuff inside. It wasn’t really clear to me, whether the building was completely abandoned or still used as a storage.

The building had originally extended much further back here. The wing behind the house had been demolished to make way for a the parking lot of a beach.

After the demolition somebody had decorated the walls.

It was a nice building and even seemed to be in a pretty good shape.

And no wonder it was in a good shape. When I started writing this post, it became evident, that this section of the building was still in use by the waterworks.

The use ended in 2024, and the building was abandoned. It was granted a demolition permit in early 2025.
