The Villa By The Playground

Another random find by the roadside: an old villa, which has been expanded in the 1950’s or 1960’s.

The original part of the building was from the 1910’s. It has served as a kindergarten and as apartments.

The door was open. Tempting.

This space seems like one of the apartments.

The kitchen had a 1990’s overall appearance.

The cupboards in the other room were a bit older.

The place had been thoroughly emptied, and there was very little to be seen.

The natural light comes through the door.

A blocked doorway between the two apartments in the old villa.

The kitchen of the second apartment seen through a window. It was broken, but I couldn’t climb through it.

So much for this exploration. I believe, that the building has been demolished now. If it yet hasn’t, it will be.

Edit: A reader kindly informed me, that the building was demolished early in 2024.

  1. It was demolished last winter, I found photo from February 4th (2024), when only things left were (part of) foundation of the building and chimney.
