Eventually I went to look for another set of stairs from the hall. There I took some shots through the windows.

There we have the road running past the house.

And there we have a door, which probably hides what I’m looking for.

I was right, you know. The stairs were about identical to the other ones, so there must have originally been two sets of them upstairs.

I’m not sure what that is, but it is clearly meant for children.

The upstairs lobby.

There was also a balcony, but no handrail. I also wasn’t sure about its condition, so I stayed inside.

Now this is why it’s called the Author’s Villa. There was a whole manuscript of something written with a typewriter. I’m not sure, if this ever became a book or was just hidden in a drawer until thrown all around the place by vandals.

Another old fireplace. There was one in almost every room.

The upstairs was a mess of old textiles.

Again everything here looks very old.

This can of tuna certainly isn’t a part of the original furniture.

It hadn’t expired in 2022. In fact it has still not expired.

Another upstairs oven.

The neighbors were really close. That house was almost brand new.

The mess continued in every room upstairs. Here it only got worse.

The strange thing was, that there was another stove upstairs. Perhaps this was another house with two apartments at some point. That would also explain the blocked stairway.

The curtains have fallen.

Layers of wallpaper in the stairway.

One final look at the mess upstairs.

The view from the stairs towards the mess on the yard concludes the exploration.
Sadly this was my final photo of this beauty ever. The house burned down in October 2022.
Very intriguing photos. Sad to see the extent of the vandalization that took place. Would love to know more about the author who lived there.
Thank you! It was a beautiful house, and I too feel sad about how it was neglected.
There really is no more info. I named the house the Author’s Villa because of the manuscript. I didn’t recognize it, and it’s most likely that it never became a book and its writer never published anything.
