Welcome to a small rural town, which mostly is of its current size because there is a largish railway station there. And where there is an old railway station, there of course are other railway related buildings such as railway staff apartments.
I had read from a local newspaper, that the city was making plans for the area, which was in a rather bad shape. Of course I had to go take a look.
This here is probably the former station manager’s house. It was one of the best preserved houses in the area and would be preserved in the future, too.- It was listed as regionally important.
The following house seemed to feature two apartments. Even it was on the list of buildings, which probably had a future. It was seen as regionally important.
This looked a bit like they had opened the wall boards of the house to see how healthy it was underneath. This one wasn’t very.

Even here they had opened the walls to investigate. This one looked a lot better than the previous one.

There were three larger chain houses next to the three protected houses. This one is listed as historically important. It should be preserved, but it may also be replaced with a new house of a similar shape and size. It was the only one of the buildings still inhabited.
The second chain house was in a much worse condition.
Clearly abandoned, it was also well sealed.
There was also a third chain house.
By 2022, when I arrived the following time, this one and the previous one had been demolished and a park was being constructed to their place. Several of the other buildings had been beautifully renovated.
On the other side of this station was this small, much more modern building.
And this small cottage, which still had electricity. The light on top of the main entrance was on.
I didn’t seem to be getting inside anywhere. But this wasn’t all in the area.
