Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind Part III

I know I already posted two photos from this room, but it was the space I liked most in the whole building, so let’s make it three.

Looks like I’ve found the remains of another toilet.

I find this a complete waste of paint. I mean if you do want to write something and it’s only a basic sentence, please check your grammar. I know, I don’t spell perfect English either, but considering that this guy has failed a five word sentence and I’ve written 484 blog posts, I have a much better success percentage.

I am more and more certain, that it’s the same genious as in the cursed school.

Rocks. There surely can’t have been a sauna in the kindergarten. The hand sized rocks and wood panel on the walls do hint at that.

I wonder for how long those plants have been neglected.

Another room with a higher ceiling. There probably is another storage attic behind the windows, as they clearly don’t lead outside.

The main reason why I like to photograph in the late afternoon and early evening is the light. The way natural light enters decay and debris is just the most wonderful thing I know. There are many examples of this in the store, where several of the photos I’ve taken can either be purchased as postcards or bigger prints. My best shots are yet to appear there, as I am for obvious reasons slightly cautious about selling anything that hasn’t been shot inside an already destroyed property.

I’ve said several times, that the graffiti artists in this city aren’t very skilled. However those two smileys are somewhat amusing.

I liked the previous photo more, but this one has its pros too.

I should have gone through my photo archives years ago. By looking at the photos I like, I could have perhaps spotted better opportunities for good photos earlier.

But this is called learning. Sadly enough the locations I study at often vanish before I get a second chance.

The double lamps are a funny detail.

I think this is one of the covers, which has been used to hand out bills to customers and take their payment to the till. It is from a hotel called Merihovi, and if you ever get a chance to visit it, you should. It has been built in the late 1940’s and most of its interior has been preserved in its original form. It is duly quite amazing.

A small room, which has also been some sort of a kitchen. It is also well preserved in its original form. Or has been before somebody vented their anger on it.

At this point this song started instantly playing in my head:

I tried this for the first time. As the jukebox inside my brain is endless, perhaps there will be more to share in the future.

This is actually a rare feature, too. Two layers of windows near the ceiling, one row facing inside and the other outside. Maybe the architects of this building weren’t totally hopeless after all.

The end is near.

A small room next to the exit.

Somebody had forgotten their trousers. After stepping over them, I was outside. If there still was somebody living here, they didnt’ catch me.

I don’t want to make any spoilers. But in the past few posts I have been speaking quite a lot about the cursed school. It could all be a coincidence, or…
