There Are Two Kinds Of Adventures Part VI

First thing found on the first floor: a room with a bed. How original.

But then there was this small lobby, which had probably served as the main entrance to the building after the 1950’s annex was built.

There was a similar corridor to the one a floor below also on this floor. The BMW terrorist has struck again.

Those look like Christmas curtains. Maybe the place was abandoned around Christmas?

There was also a cute little fireplace in the lobby. Imagine how cozy it would have been to sit next to the fire on an autumn evening.

A look towards the old main building from the entrance. The former main entrance is to the middle of the house.

At the back of the yard there was yet another building. Probably the staff apartments. There really was a lot to explore on this lot.

The old and new main buildings were connected with this low part.

The first room on the first floor corridor looked like an office.

There were more Russian newspapers in boxes in the office.

Moving on along the corridor. There was much more decay and destruction here than one floor below.

And again we are featuring standard rooms.

Oh, a shower? Notice the hexagonal tiles, which are quite common in very old buildings like this. Even my previous apartment bathroom had such.

The bathroom had been renovated at some point, because a part of the floor was on a higher level and the tiles were different.

The water pipes were gone.

More standard nursing home rooms.

The corridor goes on.

And so will I. In the following post.
