Ruins Of My Nightmares

So, what do we have here? Just another ruined old industrial building? No, definitely nope. This is the place where my nightmares were made. The place, where I met my childhood trauma back in 2006, my first ever entrance in 2009, my first ever full exploration in 2010, a place I visited again in 2015Continue reading “Ruins Of My Nightmares”

Goodbye, Nightmares Part XIX

The stairway already gave a hint at what was coming, but I didn’t expect this. There was a whole sea of ancient pig fodder all over the place. The sacks were broken and the fodder was floating everywhere. The smell was pretty nasty. Don’t get me wrong, but isn’t that a brand of caviar? AndContinue reading “Goodbye, Nightmares Part XIX”

Goodbye, Nightmares Part XVIII

In the corner of the room with the two vans was another small room. There was a calendar from 1993. That was the year when the current owner bought the premises and that was also the time I believe most of the activities in the building ended. The corner was pretty dark so unfortunately photoContinue reading “Goodbye, Nightmares Part XVIII”

Goodbye, Nightmares Part XIV

The entrance to the basement. Back in 2010 I wasn’t alone in here and explored this area. There was a dressing room and a washing room and access to other parts of the basement. The probable thing is, that workers entered through this door in the morning, changed into work gear and then went toContinue reading “Goodbye, Nightmares Part XIV”

Goodbye, Nightmares Part XII

The closer I got to the attic, the more of these leaflets appeared. The attic was a large open space, which was surprisingly dark despite the numerous small windows. The source of the grilling leaflets and other advertising material has been discovered. More of the dull recipes dating probably back to the 1970’s. I stillContinue reading “Goodbye, Nightmares Part XII”

Goodbye, Nightmares Part X

Now entering company offices. Please do! Roof panels had come loose even here. This is directly below the apartment with the kitchen with the yellow walls. I had been standing on top of that. Just to make sure, I decided to have a look at my feet. This had become by far my most dangerousContinue reading “Goodbye, Nightmares Part X”

Goodbye, Nightmares Part IX

Between the ruins of the third floor balcony door was another old recipe booklet. Although I am a devoted carnivore, I don’t find these recipes very tasty. Basically they were all the same: take a chunk of meat, put in an oven, add some very basic spices and enjoy. Sounds like quite dry to me.Continue reading “Goodbye, Nightmares Part IX”

Goodbye, Nightmares Part VIII

There was a shower at the end of the corridor between the two apartments. This means, that the inhabitants of three apartments shared one shower. The first door in the third apartment led to a toilet. The shower is behind the wall to the right. The kitchen. Back in 2010 it was a lot betterContinue reading “Goodbye, Nightmares Part VIII”

Goodbye, Nightmares Part VII

Back in 2010 this corridor was so full of paper it was almost impossible to pass through. The paper has been replaced with moldy sawdust from the roof. It was increasingly starting to look like the roof was coming down in every single room on the top floor. A sad sight. Here it wasn’t justContinue reading “Goodbye, Nightmares Part VII”

Goodbye, Nightmares Part VI

Back in 2010 the wallpaper was intact. First they’ve drawn on it, then ripped it away. The chair has gone missing, but apparently the paper downstairs has been moved here. I actually wonder, if there are any intact windows left in this part of the building. A look back. The kitchen floor didn’t look likeContinue reading “Goodbye, Nightmares Part VI”
