A Gloomy Institution Part VIII

Another view of the lobby.

A small cupboard housing the institution’s computer servers.

There was an old map of the region on the wall.

And lots of old computer equipment on the floor.

Behind the hatch of the front desk.

Christmas greetings from 2004. I can’t recall what I got for Christmas that year.

A wheelchair, one of the few remainders of the past of the place.

The standard sized rooms were present in every corner of the main building.

Another small kitchen.

Lots of files. Even some documents seem to be left.

1200 euros have been given for recreational use by the inhabitants.

There was glass everywhere.

Paint has started to peel off the walls.

An archive room.

This mess was a bit more colorful.

“The Director”.

A calendar from 2014. That was when the institution was in use, it seems.

Empty files and a very old fashioned lamp.

A guide on organizing and a guide on going on strike. Also, is that a butterfly? If so, it’s the second time I manage to catch one. The first time happened during my very first real exploration.

An entire library of guides had been thrown on the floor.

This looks like the office of the director of the institution. They had a big desk, a wooden floor and a different kind of curtain.

And this, my friends, is the final photo from the main building, but not from the area. There were a total of 32 buildings on the area, as all the wings of the main building were counted separately. I have now visited 5 of them.

So a lot more still coming.
