A courtyard view of the accommodation building.

And of the other wing.

The main building was undergoing extensive renovations to become a nursing home. Most of it except for the structure was completely demolished.

Let’s just say that it was almost a complete skeleton. Photos from the building during its abandonment can again be found here.

We next turned our attention towards the sauna and pool building. A popular recreation route was running right through the premises.

There was a way inside the pool room through the windows. It was impossible to enter, though. The place was flooding.

Maybe there was a way in upstairs on the other side.

And indeed that was the case. The door was held open by a stone.

The stairs to the basement and pool area are behind the wall.

But let’s explore the upstairs first.

The other half of the building was a bit higher than the entrance.

There was a largish room with beautiful parquette floor and a fireplace.

There was a small kitchen at the back, which had also probably served as a bar. Miraculously a part of the glasses were still intact.

As there was a pool downstairs, this has probably been the pool bar.

Remains of forks and wine glasses were all over the place.

On the back side of the fireplace there was another fireplace.

There must have been a huge amount of glasses in the cupboards before the vandals moved in.

There was even a small kitchen in its original, 1970’s shape at the back.

The stairs to the basement. That’s where the flood is, so we didn’t go in there.

The tables have turned.

The other end of the building was reserved for toilets.
The main building has been renovated and is open. After exploring the accommodation building and the poolhouse, there now is nothing more to explore on this lot. Another mission is completed. But this day’s exploration isn’t over yet.
