The Road To Happiness Part I

Surprise! Here I am yet inside another building. This time I didn’t start by photographing the exterior. I went straight in.

The reason to this was, that it was daytime. There were a lot of people outside. And I managed to find a broken window and climb inside. I was spotted on my way in, but apart from a few curious looks, the person obviously didn’t contact anybody.

Maybe it was, because I waved my camera at them.

The place is the former chapel built in the 1920’s and abandoned around 2015. I already took the external photos back in January 2021, when I tried to enter the place for the first time.

And as you can see, I have finally managed to enter.

Not that there is actually much to see: the building is empty.

Despite all the green outside, the place was in the center of the town.

And here we have a lonely chair.

Although renovations had been carried out, some classy details from the past were still visible.

The doors lead directly to the large hall, which is a beauty.

A lot of original details have been preserved here.

The internal windows may be a later addition to the original structure.

The green, decorative wooden pillars are a striking feature of this location.

Local people have left their permanent marks.

And less permanent marks.

“Would now be a suitable moment to show dick”, Sniff asks. The answer is probably never.

Large, but unimpressive graffiti.

A light room in the corner of the building with a hole in the floor. Maybe some structural samples have been taken here.

More furniture appearing here. The downstairs was basically the large assembly hall and a lot of small rooms around it.

“Not bad”. “Definitely not”, say the tags on the side wall.
