And here I am standing at the gates of yet another mental asylum. If the map looks a bit funny in some points, don’t worry. I’ve just edited out all road names, the name of the hospital and the name of the location.

Closest to the entrance was the technical wing with the boiler room, kitchen and other auxiliary services. This is an unusual detail, but the reason was, that the hospital was located by a lake, so the best views were saved for the patients.

The mental asylum was completed in 1963. It was closed down in 2015, and after that it accommodated asylum seekers. The place has been abandoned since 2016.
The fun fact is, that in the early 1960’s they still built chimneys in the traditional way.

Looks like there have even been some garages in this part of the building.

The door leads to the nutrition center, which probably is just a fancier name for the kitchen.

The auxiliary spaces were connected to the main hospital with a low corridor.

One wing of the hospital was lower than the other.

And the further towards the end you went, the lower it got.

Meanwhile the main wing featured large balconies.

There had even been a basketball court.

Another low corridor connecting the two and three storey wings.

There were no broken windows. All that was for me to do was to peep through them and try to see something.

This is where the two storey wing connects with the one storey one.

I’ve finally reached the far end.

Still no open doors. Time to check, what’s on the lakeside of the building.
