A better look at the fireplace, which actually is a combination of a fireplace, a stove and a baking oven. Not a very common sight.

Another room downstairs. Probably a former bedroom, too.

A very old portable radio.

A calendar from 1990 and the programme of a tractor pulling competition from 1988.

Paintings and frames.

A leftist newspaper from 1994. The main headline is, that the newspaper has gone bankrupt.

A 1990’s TV.

I wonder, why nobody answers.

Somebody’s very old glasses.

So much for the downstairs. Time to have a look upstairs.

Well, it looks like at least one child grew up here.

The upstairs looked to be pretty much unfinished space.

Apart from some rooms. I just love the old wooden TV sets. And here there are at least three of them.

Several old wood planes. Even the inhabitants of this place have been into woodworking.

In addition to the old TV sets there were also several old radios. If they’ve been a part of the furniture, when this place was still occupied, the inhabitants have been rich.

More old stuff common to farms. And the box of a Swedish bakery. The logo on the other boxes looks like that of a bakery in my former home town.

I wonder, what that thing hanging from the roof is.

All kinds of big buckets and cardboard boxes were stored here.

Heading back.

A small storage room in one corner of the attic. Notice the sewing machine.

Time to leave.

There was a cow shed at the back of the yard. We didn’t feel like walking through the jungle, so we left for our third destination of the trip.
Wow! I was an 11 year-old kid in 1990! The vintage television sets and the old computer monitor really brought me right back!
I’ve dreamt of an old wooden TV set for a long time. I’d dismantle the electronics and build it into a wine stand.
The iron lady mentioned in this post managed to get me one last summer from a house abandoned in 1970. She regularly spots houses for me when walking their dog and asks the owners for permission.
I am still building the stand.
